James' Birthday in Prague

Church of St VitusPrague has been called the "Paris of the East" for it’s beautiful architecture and rich culture. It’s also known for hearty food and low prices and has become one of the must-see destinations for those travelling to Europe. This city in the Czech Republic has been on our list of places to visit for a long time and an excuse finally came in the form of my birthday (long) weekend – despite it being a bit chilly we had an amazing time. Happy New Year!

Sarah and BryceAfter a chilled-out few weeks it was time for the last big night of the festive season. Soon we’d be going back to the daily grind so it was time to celebrate the great year that was 2006 and welcome in 2007.

What to do on New Year’s Eve is always a bit problematic – most venues are overpriced and overcrowded and over here at least it’s usually pretty damned cold outside. In the end we decided to brave the chilly winter night and head in to the city for the official London fireworks. Read more…
