
After having such a fantastic time in Bandon the night before, we knew we were in for another evening of great music as we drove north to Kinsale. On Saturday afternoon we arrived in Bandon, a small town just a few miles south-west of Cork. We’d been lucky enough to get a room at the beautiful Kilbrogan Guest House due to a late cancellation. Not only was Kilbrogan a beautiful and homely place to stay, it was also only 5 mins walk from De Barra – the pub where Jeff Martin would be playing later that evening. Read more…

When we saw that ex Tea Party frontman Jeff Martin was playing some solo acoustic shows in Ireland we saw the perfect opportunity for a weekend away.
The gigs were in County Cork in Ireland’s south-east , however flights in to Shannon in the west were much cheaper. So we hired a car to make the 150km journey across the Emerald Isle, taking in the beautiful countryside along the way.
Fortunately, our route took us straight past the village of Blarney, home of Blarney Castle and its famous Blarney Stone. Read more…
