Easter Saturday – Priscilla & Glen's House
April 7th, 2007 at 07:50pm James
After spending the night in Sydney we got on the good old Newcastle and Central Coast line bound for Tuggerah. After the train gets out of the city it winds its way through the beautiful Hawksbury River area – the journey always brings back memories of my days commuting to uni and work before we left Australia.
Dad met us at the station and drove us to his place where we enjoyed a cup of tea with him and Sue (and their beloved dog Kelly of course). Then it was on to my sister Priscilla and her husband Glen’s new house for a relaxed Easter Saturday lunch.
This was the first time we’d seen Scilla and Glen’s place and they’ve done a great job doing it up. We got the grand tour and Scilla showed us all the work they’ve done since they moved in – the new deck out the back over the pool has come up great! Alas it wasn’t quite swimming weather so we didn’t go for a swim – we’ll have to wait until next time.
We spent the afternoon catching up before Scilla served up an outstanding 3-course lunch: fetta bruscetta followed by perfectly cooked roast lamb and finished off with biscotti, vanilla ice cream, coffee and baileys – yum!
After such a big and tasty lunch all that was left to do was relax on the lounge, have another Tooheys Old or two, look at photos and catch up on the past 18 months! Another great day in Australia – you can see a few more photos here.
