Fishing at The Entrance
April 12th, 2007 at 07:34pm James

After checking out Brendan and Nerys’ new place in Wyong Brendan offered to take us out on his Dad’s boat for some fishing. The last time either of us had been out fishing was on our honeymoon so how could we refuse?
So a couple of days later we hooked the boat trailer up to the trusty Corolla – the first time it’s towed anything in the 10 years that I’ve owned it! The little car showed it’s age when we went to plug in the trailer lights, only to find that the trailer had a rectangular socket while the Corolla had a round hole!
Fortunately we had a sparky on hand and Brendan managed to rig up a make-shift connection – a testament to Aussie ingenuity. We lost a couple of fuses in the process but after swapping out the ones for the interior light and cigarette lighter, the brake and indicator lights were up and running and we were off!
We’d picked a beautiful day to be out on the water, the Sun shining down as we launched the boat at the North Entrance ramp. A very relaxing and enjoyable afternoon, even though the size of the fish at The Entrance hasn’t got any bigger since last time we were there…
There’s a few more photos of our little fishing expedition here.
