Not having our own place meant we were without a venue for a get-together with our Central Coast mates. Fortunately Scilla and Glen came through with the goods and agreed to host a BBQ at their new place.

So we invited everyone round and stocked up on food and beer for a BBQ by the pool. Again there were plenty of people coming along that we hadn’t seen since we were last home for the wedding, so we were looking forward to a great night.

Sitting out on the deck having a drink was just like old times. Except of course for Alison who was on the non-alcohol bubbly due to her having a bub on the way!

Soon enough it was time to get the BBQ fired up and Steve and Brendan were happy to help out. The last time we’d seen Steve was back in London a few years ago before he moved to Canada, so we had plenty of catching up to do.

After dinner we gave Scilla and Glen a *very* belated wedding present, (and also something of a thankyou for putting on the BBQ)  – a shiny new Nintendo Wii. Our love of the Wii is well documented and it wasn’t long before the Wii tennis and bowling began in earnest.

It’s amazing how some things change while you’re away – H drinking beer for instance. Previously unthinkable!

As the evening went on some of moved outside for a game of poker. Despite having to ask the rules along the way, Brendan ended up being the ultimate winner and walking away with the pot!

Needless to say we all had a late night, (early morning) but it was loads of fun seeing everyone again. There’s a couple more pics of the night here.
