Farewell England, Hello World…
June 18th, 2009 at 11:53am James
So after 5 1/2 years in London we’ve quit our jobs, packed up our stuff, said goodbye to our beloved home in Prout Grove and are entering a new chapter in this our amorphic destiny…Yep, we’re finally heading home to our native Australia but of course we won’t be going home the easy way. The plan is to spend the Summer camping around Europe and seeing a few of the places still left on our list: Cinque Terre and Tuscany in Italy, the Croatian coast, Eastern Europe and the Baltic countries and the natural beauty of Scandinavia. We’ll also spend time at a few, (well, at least four) music festivals and catch up with friends while we still can!
If all goes well we’ll end up at the Summer Breeze festival in Germany’s south-west in mid August and after that we begin our journey east. If the trusty Sunny’s still roadworthy we’ll take her across Czech and down through Romania and Bulgaria into Greece, where we hope to find her a good home, (if anybody wants a ‘95 Nissan Sunny with low miles, full service history, a roof box and a load of camping gear inside, get in touch).
After that we’ll cross into Turkey and thus out of Europe and into the east. After that we’ll be playing it by ear but we hope to go through the Middle East, (so far we have visas for Pakistan, India and Nepal and the Iranian one’s on the way) then south-east through Asia before finally reaching our beloved homeland in January 2010. The idea is to do this all without resorting to air travel but hey, we’ll see…
So if you’re interested in what we get up to you can keep an eye on our progress via the Amorphic Destiny web page, photo page , rss feed, or twitter. We’ll update as often as we can and would love to hear from you while we’re on the road. Perhaps we’ll even see one or two of you out there in the big, wide world!

Heeey! Not really sure where I’m supposed to leave a message for you, but here seems as good as any!!
It’s boring being back from Metalcamp. Just counting down the days ’til Wacken. I’m sure you’re having more exciting times in Norway! Bad news for James I’m afraid – there seems to be a strictly no beer horn policy at Wacken this year :O
Anyway, I’ll see ya there. Going to have a nosey at your site now… Rebecca (Metalcamp!!)
